"He didn't reply" is a fact. "He hates me" is a story. Telling them apart lightens the load.

The mind is expert at filling gaps with stories, often the worst ones. But a story is not a fact.
Separate what actually happened from how you interpreted it. Much of the pain lives in the interpretation.
